I think the first HP movie was probably the best one.. it started to decline from here..

The first two were easily the best. I think the second one was actually a little better because they had better effects and the kids were better at acting then...
My rankings: 1. Chamber of Secrets 2. Sorcerer's Stone 3. DH1 4. Half-Blood Prince 5. Goblet of Fire 6. Prisoner of Azkaban 7. Every other movie ever made 8. Dirt 9. Bedrock under said dirt 10. Molten lava under said bedrock 11. Order of the Phoenix

Molten lava under said bedrock 11. Order of the Phoenix I totally agree with #7 on down. My movie rankings go a little differently, though: 1. SS (can't beat the magic of the first one) 2. CoS 3. DH1 4. PoA 5. HbP (they almost completely cut ending battle...) 6. GoF 7. On down, see Heds' list.

I don't understand what everyone has against PoA (except for the whole Sirius Black thing. But he had just gotten out of Azkaban and he was on the run. He was supposed to look kind of gaunt and haggard). It was waaaaaaaaaay better than OotP and I thought it was better than GoF.

I think GoF was closer to the book... it was just realllllly fast. But in PoA they got a LOT wrong... plus, you know, it was the first insult and whatnot.

Ah, true. It was the first insult. Hadn't thought of that.

Well my order goes
1: SS 2: GoF 3: HBP 4:CoS 5:OoP 6:DH1 7:PoA
and i was thinking last night... hermionies parents are muggle. yet her first time on the train she was able to do a spell... how did she have time to physicly practice the spell if she was unable to practice at home due to the underage restrictions of doing magic in front of muggles??? she knew a little too much magic for not being able to practice. i know books teach a lot but come on lol.
and PoA is last on my list because they did more then mess up on black, whitch i think may acctualy be the only good part of the movie. they messed up times lines and gave parts to other people that never happened in the book.
ok wait sorry she only did the magic on the train in the movie... but she did brag about doing magic in the book.

Absolutely, Sorceror's Stone was one of my favourite movies, as far as I'm concerned after the first 3 movies, everything declined....horribly.. hazardously, unbelievably, well that's not true, Daeathly Hallows left something to be desired, but it followed some format of the storyline, and thus it was a great step-up. My line up goes something like this
1) Chamber of Secrets 2) Sorceror's Stone 3)Prisoner of Azkban 4) Deathly Hallows 5) half-blood Prince Here comes real horror, disbelief and total garbage.... 6) Honestly can't tell which one I dislike more, it's sort of like a tie between Goblet of Fire and Order of the phoneix for worst Hp movie.

Someone agrees with me that PoA was actually pretty good. And, btw, I totally agree about GoF and OotP. They are the worst of the 7 movies. Though GoF has grown on me; I don't completely hate it anymore.
