Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
I've seen it twice, and I loved it. I thought they did a really good job of getting all the major plot points, and I liked how a lot of the dialogue was straight out of the book. I only really missed Lily's letter, and Potterwatch. And I get why those two scenes got cut. On a random note: does Voldemort's return come with complimentary volumizer? Snape's hair looked so much better in this movie...
Anyway, short version: I loved it. I can't imagine watching the movie without having read the book, though. That must be confusing...

Well, I don't need to say thatt... cause she already did... + I thought the dance was odd first time I saw it, but found it kinda cute the second time.

sadly i was not fully impressed with this movie. they skiped too much and put things in that never happened... i was disapointed in the first half thought they did get lines straight from the book i loved that. and it picked up once they were in the forest but still there were things i was not happy with. for one i was looking forward to seeing a "good bella" ie Andromida.

To an extent I was impressed with it, definitely had some parts which I liked. This came 3rd on my list I believe of good HP movies. There were a few things that did not happen in the book, some that they cut out, that I wasn't very pleased about. But all in all it was good, the ending was cruddy though.. And you're right, Luna, if I were anyone who hadn't ready the book, I would be mind blogged with misunderstanding. [/color]

I'm just glad they didn't totally ruin it. My expectations (after OotP and a mediocre performance from HbP) were so low it would have been hard for them not to have impressed me.
I really thought they did a good job, though. At times I thought Harry felt a little flat, and the movie sagged a little in the middle, but overall they did a good job with a hard book to adapt. Most of the things they added I enjoyed. I thought the scene where Hermione wiped her parents memories (Emma Watson is a stunning actress) was really well done. I enjoyed the dance scene, to. The first time I was like "Wait, what just happened" But the second time I thought it was hilarious. Daniel/Harry was really funny to watch in that scene.
The only two things I would say I really missed (from the book) were Lily's letter and the Dumbeldore sub-plot (you know, Harry's doubts about him, etc.)
My main bone to pick with them, just in general, is the complete lack of the invisibility cloak. I mean, really? Harry's the most wanted wizard in Britain. They've just fled the wedding. Let's walk into a coffee shop and not bother to disguise Harry at all! That's brilliant!
So, yeah. Overall I give it 9 out of 10 stars.
